After leaving my job, I had an overwhelming urge to just get away — to go somewhere, anywhere.
That’s when Jeju Island suddenly came to mind.
So, I booked a ferry departing from Mokpo Port and heading to Jeju Port.
And just like that, my journey to Jeju began.
회사 퇴직후 나는 무작정 어디론가 떠나고 싶었다.
그떄 문득 생각 난 곳이 제주도 였다.
그래서 나는 목포항을 출발하여 제주항을 도착하는 배편을 구하였다.
이렇게 나의 제주도 여행은 시작되었다.
Day 1
I got off the bus and walked toward the port.
It was around sunrise, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful.
나는 버스에 내려서 항구까지 걸어갔다 .
일출 시간이라 풍경이 정말 아름다웠다.
About ten minutes into my walk, the ferry I would be boarding came into view.
It was the biggest ship I had ever been on.
Inside, there were so many convenient facilities — a bakery, vending machines, even a karaoke room.
After boarding, I unpacked my things and headed up to the deck to enjoy the view of the sea.
I was lucky enough to witness a group of dolphins swimming by.
I didn’t manage to take any photos — I was too mesmerized, just standing there and watching.
As I looked out over the ocean, one thought crossed my mind:
Korea really has so many islands.
지금 까지 내가 타본 배중에 제일 컸다.
안에 빵집이랑 자판기랑 노래방 등 편의 시설이 진짜 많았다.
나는 배에타서 짐을풀고 갑판위로 올라가 바다를 구경했다.
나는 운이 좋게 돌고래 떼들을 목격 하였다.
넋 놓고 바라보느라 사진을 찍진 못하였다.
그리고 바다를 바라보면서 느낀게 한국에는 섬이 진짜 많다고 느꼈다.
무인도의 이름이 발가락 섬이다 ㅎㅎ

As I continued gazing at the ocean, I suddenly noticed Jeju Island appearing in the distance.
At last, I had arrived — unplanned, but full of anticipation.
바다를 구경하다 보니 어느새 저멀리 제주도가 보이기 시작했다.
드디어 나는 무계획으로 제주도에 도착했다.
