Little Journeys in Big Seoul 1 (내가 가본 서울 이곳저곳 1)

In this post, I’d like to share some of my favorite spots in Seoul—places I’ve enjoyed visiting over the years as someone who was born and raised in this city.

이번 글은 서울에서 태어나 자란 내가 지금 까지 갔었던 곳 중에 좋았던 서울 여행지에 써볼려고한다.

The first place I visited is a sky garden called Seoul 7017.
It’s an old overpass that has been transformed into a pedestrian walkway. The name "7017" comes from two things: "70" refers to the year 1970, when the overpass was originally built, and "17" represents the 17 different paths that branch out from it.
There are a few reasons why I personally like this place.

첫번째는 서울로7017 이라 불리우는 고가도로이다.
여기에서 7017로 불리우는 이유는 '70'은 서울 고가도로가 만들어진 연도가 1970 년도 이기때문이고 17은 이다리에 17개의 갈림길이 있기 때문이다.
이곳이 내가 마음에 들어하는 이유가 몇가지 있다.

First, it's very accessible.
Located right next to Seoul Station, it’s a perfect spot to take a quick walk while waiting for a train.

첫번째 이유는 접근성이 좋다.
서울역 근처에있어서 열차를 기다릴때 가볍게 산책이 가능하다.

Second, the views from the bridge are quite diverse and interesting.
From up there, you can see the busy roads filled with cars, a dense forest of skyscrapers, and even Sungnyemun (Namdaemun), Korea’s National Treasure No. 1. It feels like there’s always something new to catch your eye.

두번쨰 이유는 다리위에서 바라볼수있는 다양한 뷰가 있다.
도로위에 수많은 차들, 빽빽한 빌딩숲, 대한민국 국보 1호인 숭례문 등 새로운 시각적 이벤트가 끊임없이 있다.

Third, the bridge is decorated with various plants and small ponds, and in the middle, you'll find cafes and benches where you can take a break anytime.

세번째 이유는 다리위에는 식물과 연못으로 꾸며져있고 다리중간에는 카페와 벤치가 있어 언제든 편하게 휴식이 가능하다는 점이다

Lastly, one thing I love about the bridge is its many branching paths, which lead to different entrances and exits. Some of these paths are surprisingly charming.
For example, one of them leads to a beautiful church. The church itself was lovely, and the area around it was so quiet that it felt like the perfect spot to take a short break.

마지막 이유는 다리에 갈림길이 있어 입출구가 다양하고 몇몇갈림길은 상당히 매력적이다.
대표적인 예시로 갈림길중하나는 아름다운 교회로가는길이 있는데 교회가 이뻤고 엄청 조용해서 잠깐 휴식하기 좋았다.

다른 갈림길은 서울역 옥상정원으로 가는길 이였는데 그곳에서 보는 뷰가 개인적으로는 가장 좋았다.

If you ever pass through Seoul Station, I truly recommend taking a moment to walk this bridge. The area around the station has its own charm, and sometimes, pausing for a moment to enjoy the view can be surprisingly refreshing.

앞으로 서울역이 가볼 일 이있다면 이 다리를 들렸다가는것을 개인적으로 추천드린다.

그리고 서울역 근처 또한 뷰가 이쁜곳이 많기때문에 가끔식은 여유롭게 걸음을 멈춰 주위를 둘러보는것은 때때로 삶의 긍정적인 영향을준다.

The second place I’d like to introduce is Eungbongsan Mountain.
It’s only 95.4 meters high, and the slope is gentle, making it easy for anyone to hike.
At the top, there’s a small pavilion where you can sit and relax.
The view of the Han River from here is truly beautiful.
Behind you, you can also see Namsan Mountain, which is just as stunning.
This is a hidden gem where every direction—east, west, south, and north—offers something beautiful to see.

두번쨰로 소개하고싶은 곳은 응봉산이다.
이곳은 95.4m 로 높지않고 경사가 완만하여 쉽게 등반이 가능하다.
정상에는 팔각정이 있어 앉아서 휴식이 가능하다.
이곳에서 바라보는 한강의 뷰는 정말 이쁘다.
또한 뒷편에는 남산이 보이는데 남산 또한 이쁘다.

이곳은 동서남북이 다 아름다운 숨겨진 명소이다.
