Summer Holiday in Daecheon, Boryeong (보령 대천 여름 휴가)

나는 여름 휴가로 가족들이랑 머드축제로 유명한 보령에서 보내기로 하였다.

보령냉풍 욕장 Boryeong Cold Air Bath

Before heading to Daecheon Beach, we decided to stop by the Boryeong Cold Wind Bath, an abandoned coal mine.

우리는 대천 해수욕장에 가기전 폐광산인 보령냉풍 욕장에 들렸다 가기로하였다.

It used to be the largest mining village in Chungnam in the 1970s, and it was closed in 1989.

1970년대 충남 최대의 탄광촌이였다 1989년에 폐광한곳이다.

Today, it has transformed into a tourist attraction and a site for growing mushrooms, thanks to the cool air blowing from underground and its chilly climate.

현재는 지하에서 불어오는 시원한 바람과 서늘한 기후를 통해 양송이 버섯 재배와 관광지로서 변모하였다.

While it was extremely hot outside, the moment we entered the abandoned mine, it felt not just cool, but cold.

실외는 너무더웠는데 폐광산에 들어가는 순간 시원하다 못해 추웠다.

The air coming from the mine tunnels was around 12°C to 14°C.

폐광구로부터 12℃ ~ 14℃ 정도의 바람이 불었다

At the end of the tour, near the exit, there was a small waterfall and a foot bath area, which we really enjoyed.

폐광구 관광을 끝나면 출구쪽에 자그만한 폭포와 족욕할수있는곳이 있어서 좋았다.

Above all, the best part was that we could enjoy all of this for free.

무엇보다 이 모든것을 무료로 즐길 수 있는것이 가장 좋았다.

 

 

 

 

대천 해수욕장 Daecheon Beach 🌅

We stayed at a hotel with a view of Daecheon Beach.

우리는 대천해수욕장을 조망을 갖는 호텔을 이용하였다.

The hotel used the first and second floors as a café, which was decorated with many beautiful gems and stones.

그 호텔은 1,2층을 카페로 이용하였는데 카페에 많은 보석과 이쁜 돌들이있었다.

Nearby, there was a delicious handmade burger place. After eating burgers and playing in the water, the sun was already setting. The sunset over the sea was truly breathtaking.

근처에 맛있는 수제 햄버거집이 있어서 햄버거를 먹고 물놀이를 하다보니 어느새 석양이 지고있었다. 석양이 지는 바다는 정말 아름다웠다.

A statue there seemed to represent a family on vacation.

동상이 휴가온 가족을 표현하는것 같다.

For dinner, we decided to have sashimi. The shrimp, in particular, was large and incredibly delicious.

우리는 저녁으로 회를 먹기로 하였다. 특히 새우가 크고 정말 맛있었다.

The area around the hotel remained lively late into the night.

호텔은 근처는 늦은밤까지 활기를 띠었다

The night sea brought a sense of peace and inspired quiet reflection.

밤바다는 마음의 평화를 안겨다주고 사색에 잠기게 하였다

The next day, we finished our summer vacation with samhap, a dish combining pork, seafood, and vegetables all together, which was a perfect ending to my enjoyable summer holiday.

다음 날 우리는 돼지고기,해산물,야채 한꺼번에 먹을수있는 삼합을 먹고 나의 즐거운 여름 휴가를 마무리 하였다.
